Our Mission at the Oberoi Rising Dreams Foundation is to provide everyday opportunities to our youth with the intent of educating, motivating and inspiring.
Our Story
The dream started in 2015, The dream of a family from Montreal, QC, to create a foundation that will carry forward the legacy of their father whilst helping the community was finally realized in 2018.
Tansen Oberoi never gave up an opportunity to offer counsel, comfort and hope to anyone he met. It was his belief that by giving hope, one can create enough confidence in the youth making them capable of achieving great heights.
It is this concept and his belief that continue to motivate us.
THE OBEROI RISING DREAMS FOUNDATION, with a mission to provide everyday opportunities to our youth with the intent of educating, motivating, and inspiring them, was established in 2018.
Remembering their own childhood and how they were encouraged to achieve their dreams, the founders want to provide to as many underprivileged children as they can, opportunities so that they too are able to attain their full potential.
The Oberoi Rising Dreams Foundation collaborates with other local organizations, which help identify members of the community that can reap the benefits of our mission.
We target youth from various ages and backgrounds and plan activities with them that are essential to their intellectual, psychological, and social development, with the hope of guiding them to become confident and self-reliant individuals.
Winter 2023 Holiday Baskets
This past December, the Oberoi Rising dreams partnered once again with the Welcome Collective organization to provide holiday baskets to those families in need. Thanks to the generosity of all of our donors, we were able to fill 56 baskets with basic essentials and gifts that were much appreciated.
A special thank you also goes out to our volunteers who helped pack and deliver the baskets. We would not have been able to do it without your help and support
Summer 2023 Initiative
Once again this summer, The Oberoi rising dreams foundation partnered with Tyndales St George Community Centre and Welcome Collective to do our annual backpack program. Thanks to your generosity we were able to provide 60 backpacks filled with school supplies to these 2 organizations that aid children of all ages from elementary to high school. This will help kids start the year on the right foot. A special thanks to Travelway Group International and Dollar Max Dépôt for their generous support and donations.
Zumba FUN-draiser Event
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the incredible individuals who made our Zumba fundraiser a resounding success!
Together, we danced, laughed, and sweat it out to support our foundations on-going initiatives.
We look forward to continuing our efforts together, creating positive changes to those in need one Zumba move at a time.
Winter 2022 Initiative
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, The Oberoi Rising Dreams foundation were yet again able to work with The Welcome Collective organization and provide 55 winter baskets filled with basic essentials and gifts to those families in need.
The impact to these families could not have been achieved without your overwhelming support.
Summer Initiatives contd.
August, 2022
Thanks to your overwhelming support and generosity, this past summer along with the backpack initiative, The Oberoi Rising Dreams was able to donate 20- one week basketball camp scholarships to the Trevor Williams Basketball Academy Summer Camp.
We thank you for all your support and allowing us to put smiles on these kids faces.
The Oberoi Rising Dreams Foundation was also able to support the park programs offered by Ottawa community houses in a high needs community.
These programs target literacy programs, STEM and mental well being in communities where children would not typically have access to this. Your support allowed 200 children to access these services throughout the summer on a drop in basis, which they were extremely grateful for.
Summer Backpack Initiative

Because of your generosity, The Oberoi Rising Dreams Foundation was able to donate 55 backpacks filled with school supplies to both Tyndales Community Center and The Welcome Collective.
We would like to give a big thank you to Travelway Group International for donating all the amazing backpacks and lunch bags and a special mention to Dollar Max Dépôt for their help In securing all of school supplies in a timely fashion.

Winter Initiative
December, 2021
With the end of the year in sight we would like to thank you for your overwhelming support.
During this Holiday season, The Oberoi Rising Dreams Foundation was able to achieve our goals by working with the Welcome Collective organization, providing 40 winter baskets filled with basic essentials and gifts to families.
In addition, we were also able to donate Christmas gifts for Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre and the children of the Little Burgundy community.
The impact to these families could not have been achieved without your overwhelming support and for that We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Clothing Drive for the Cuties
September, 2021
The Oberoi Rising Dreams Foundation completed yet another successful initiative, this time in conjunction with Garderie Imagination. We were able to collect a great amount of clothing for families, namely babies and toddlers.
All clothing will be donated to the Welcome Collective, “an organization whose core mission is to mobilize Montreal’s local community to provide immediate help to the city’s most precarious refugee claimants.”
With everyone’s help, we have been able to reach many families in need of these items.

Tyndale St Georges Community Center Backpack Initiative
August 30, 2021
The Oberoi Rising Dreams Foundation would like to give a big thank you to all those who donated to our back to school Backpack Initiative.
We would also give a special mention to Travel Way Group International for donating all the amazing backpacks and Dollar Max depot for their help in making this possible. Because of your generosity we were able to donate 40 backpacks filled with School supplies to Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre.
School supplies for the Chez Doris Foundation
August 14, 2020
The Oberoi Rising Dreams completed their second initiative since the foundation was launched in conjunction with Chez Doris. Chez Doris is a foundation that helps women in need and provides a safe place for them. With the on-going Covid-19 Pandemic, it was very difficult for us to fulfill the wishes of our mandate. However, we felt now more than ever it was important for us to step in and help in any way possible.
As schools were preparing to open and many families were experiencing financial hardship, we decided providing school supplies and backpacks to those in need was critical. After a coming up with an extensive list of school supplies, we filled the backpacks and hand delivered them to Chez Doris.
With their help, 25 mothers in need were able to get the proper school supplies needed for their children to start the school year. Chez Doris and the children were ecstatic to have new school supplies and be able to start the school year on a happy note. Another great success!
Skating day with the YWCA
November 30, 2019
Oberoi Rising Dreams Foundation and its founding members embarked on their first activity since the launch of the foundation. Together with the YWCA, we gathered a dozen young children and had a marvelous day at the Bell Atrium for a day of skating and Pizza. The day started with the kids walking together from the YWCA in a great mood and then joining the members of the ORDF at the skating rink.
After two hours of skating, laughter, and good times, we all gathered in the food court to enjoy pizza and snacks. The pizza was a huge hit, with many kids eating so much food it looked like they needed a nap. We ended the day sharing jokes and stories among other conversations. A great time was had by all and the day was a huge success!
